Updated version of the paper craft project

Week 5/6 -Updated Version of Paper Craft Model     This week came to me as a shock. I didn't realize how difficult this project would prove to be. I was able to do all the in class examples with no problems, however when it comes to creating an actual project I found I was struggling. I was on call with my friend, waiting for our friends to join so we could play games. I was getting very upset because I was struggling to use what I was learning and applying it to my project. Unlike the other times where I was able to complete it in no time at all and was able to still push myself and my brain to a certain degree.  Reference:  FunKo Pop! Sanrio: Hello Kitty - Classic Hello Kitty, Multicolor, Figures - Amazon Canada Feb 27- Due to not feeling well I was able to complete the mesh the surface flat design. I had everything all printed out but I don't trust myself with sharp objects because my energy has been zapped from my body. Pictures will be coming soon. I'...

Art Review

From Skyworld to Cyberspace     From Skyworld to Cyberspace is currently an  exhibition open to the public at Alberta University of the Arts located at the address below. Auarts has a link that I have provided below with the information of the event and more about artist Skawennati. Her exhibition is a combination of her work from the last couple years exploring the idea of how the world was formed. Her work is a combination of the retelling of Indigenous stories by using technology to create a modern version of it.       My experience at the From Skyworld to Cyber was very good. I wasn't too sure of what was going on because I didn't have too much information on her work. I was enjoyed myself and because of their not being too many people I was able to focus on the artist work and not be so anxious about it. These are a couple pieces that caught my eye because of the vibrance of the colours.      ...

Week 5- Paper craft project       This new project is an introduction to surface design using Rhino. In this project we are to construct objects in Rhino and then deconstruct them so we can create them in real life with paper.

Week 4- Paper Craft Research

Week 4- Paper Craft Research     I choose to research Zim&Zou. I was drawn to his work because of the colours he chooses and the way he sets up his ideas. His imagination is incredible in coming up with the many different ideas of his sculptures and how the paper is being used. It seems impossible for paper to be used the way he used it but he accomplished it. It is simply immaculate and utterly incredible. It draws the views eyes into looking at it and not being afraid to touch it. It can be seen as something to be touched and gazed upon for it literally looks so stunning. It captivates the attention of the view such as my self. While I was looking through many of the other works although they were interesting none was as interesting and eye catching and Zim&Zou. I can see this by the colours and how it appeals to pretty much every sense of the human body. Your eye is constantly being lead though his incredible buildings and no...

Mesh Mashup: Concepts Generation

Mesh Mashup: Concepts Generation  10 concepts  1. COMPUTER  All these parts make up a computer. The lightsaber and ninja hat go with the group of computer parts because they relate to hobbies. With the internet, accessibility to pop culture has become available to everyone. Usually a graphics card is inside your computer but I decided to use it as a desk instead.   Thingaverse links-                          -  Collapsible Lightsaber Remix - Star Wars Toy by solid3dmemories - Thingiverse                              - fisherman tea bag by be711 - Thingiverse                              - Nvidia Graphics Card - 780Ti by bunger32 - Thingiverse 2. Week 1

Image
Week 1     Quick warm up and introduction to a program called Tinkercad. My overall feeling of the program is it is very simple to figure out, allowing the user to start developing objects quickly. This is perfect for the first week of object design. I decided to build a house, which came to me easier because I built houses most of the time when I play the Sims 4.  Objectified movie        The first part of the video there was a chair. For whatever reason I really wanted to make a chair from that point on. There were many cool objects that I saw and I was intrigued by but again the chair.  The chair relates to the begin of the video because it was used to introduce the topics being brought up in the movie. A chair is designed for a purpose and as designers we want to make the purpose as clear as possible.  Objects are designed for different audiences even the most simple objects are like that.    ...
