From Skyworld to Cyberspace

From Skyworld to Cyberspace is currently an
exhibition open to the public at Alberta University of the Arts located at the address below. Auarts has a link that I have provided below with the information of the event and more about artist Skawennati. Her exhibition is a combination of her work from the last couple years exploring the idea of how the world was formed. Her work is a combination of the retelling of Indigenous stories by using technology to create a modern version of it.

My experience at the From Skyworld to Cyber was very good. I wasn't too sure of what was going on because I didn't have too much information on her work. I was enjoyed myself and because of their not being too many people I was able to focus on the artist work and not be so anxious about it. These are a couple pieces that caught my eye because of the vibrance of the colours.

On the Auarts website photos of ever piece are available for the viewer to look at along with a digital map of the entire show where you are able to look at every piece from the comforts of your home.

I linked her website as well at the bottom of the blog that provides more information on her work. Some have quick videos that tell the stories she is interested in. When you scroll down there are brief explanations as well that help the view to understand more fully what the artist is trying to convey.
