 Week 5/6 -Updated Version of Paper Craft Model


    This week came to me as a shock. I didn't realize how difficult this project would prove to be. I was able to do all the in class examples with no problems, however when it comes to creating an actual project I found I was struggling. I was on call with my friend, waiting for our friends to join so we could play games. I was getting very upset because I was struggling to use what I was learning and applying it to my project. Unlike the other times where I was able to complete it in no time at all and was able to still push myself and my brain to a certain degree. 


Feb 27- Due to not feeling well I was able to complete the mesh the surface flat design. I had everything all printed out but I don't trust myself with sharp objects because my energy has been zapped from my body. Pictures will be coming soon. I'm currently not able to walk around as much because of how tired I am feeling.

Paper Craft Hello Kitty    This is the entire post of my paper craft project. In my planning I was very confident in my model in Rhino. However when I printed it out my printer was being funny. As show in the picture below. It was printing landscape on portrait mode. I had no idea why it was doing this. No matter what I tried same results. With this slight error my design was approximately x2 smaller than it should have been.  Here is the rendered version in Rhino                                          Original model and deconstructed   First prototype  Second model and deconstruction   Changes to the first deconstructed model are adding more taps. The final of the dogggggggg

      The final renders of my super awesome dog!!!     A few notes that I have to add about Keyshot. Since it's a new software I really struggled figuring it out. It probably took 2 1/2 hours of messing around with different settings to figure out what the heck I needed to do to even begin to figure out how to use it. I can tell how powerful the program is but I literally don't have the mental energy to be able to figure out all the ins and outs of keyshot. Usually I don't struggle figuring out a new software but this time was quite a bit different and I was surprised. Only thing I couldn't figure out is how to do custom lighting. It made no sense when I tried. So I'm hoping he goes over it in class so I can be more proficient at using keyshot.

Castle Assignment

Castle Assignment     WELCOME BACK!!! It's been a hot minute but excited to be back and to create some awesome things.  I really didn't have anything that inspired me to build my castle. It was more as I worked I came up with new ideas to add to the project. An example was the fountain. Without it the castle looks very bare and empty. I struggled with getting ideas for the castle. I saw so many really good reference pictures but didn't use any of them because I couldn't figure out how to recreate them. So I went for a more simply approach but I really enjoyed working on this. It was very fun and the trees glow in the dark. I wish I would have been able to create a better window with a glass pane but the frame was pretty good.
