 CONEEEEESSSS!!!!

    Today is a big day!!! Finally got to work on the CNC machine. Was so much fun but ran into a few problem. Working on the CNC machine is a lonely task for sure. Being in an in closed space for hours by yourself I felt like I was going mad. 
    Although the project is fun I realize that I should have separated all my gcode files. For example the fill patterns, each one should have been it’s own separate file to run, to cut down on the time I waited for the file to finish. This will be a 2 day project cause I’ve already been here for almost 4 hours. I spend most of my time waiting for my file to finish drawing.  
 
Day 1 thoughts 
    The rough draft was a good idea because I got to see where the are flaws in my project. As I wait for the final to finish I’m writing my blog. I have attached videos and pictures of my project. Most of them are for the rough draft. The start was pretty troublesome cause I knew what I was doing but I wasn’t fully sure what I was doing. Now I feel pretty confident and ready to do more!!! Success my friend is coming!!! No longer will I be super bored and tired of being alone. 

Thoughts 
- I don’t think I will do the outline the fills create enough of a shape to separate the foreground from the background. 
- Change all g-code to .tap I didn’t know I was suppose to do that and freaked out when the file didn’t show up
- Separate fill codes because it’s doesn’t makes sense to do one big one file. Takes too long and doesn’t use up my time well enough. If I had all the time in the world yeah it would be great
- My design is huge and more complicated than I anticipated therefore takes longer.

      The final renders of my super awesome dog!!!     A few notes that I have to add about Keyshot. Since it's a new software I really struggled figuring it out. It probably took 2 1/2 hours of messing around with different settings to figure out what the heck I needed to do to even begin to figure out how to use it. I can tell how powerful the program is but I literally don't have the mental energy to be able to figure out all the ins and outs of keyshot. Usually I don't struggle figuring out a new software but this time was quite a bit different and I was surprised. Only thing I couldn't figure out is how to do custom lighting. It made no sense when I tried. So I'm hoping he goes over it in class so I can be more proficient at using keyshot.

Castle Assignment

Castle Assignment     WELCOME BACK!!! It's been a hot minute but excited to be back and to create some awesome things.  I really didn't have anything that inspired me to build my castle. It was more as I worked I came up with new ideas to add to the project. An example was the fountain. Without it the castle looks very bare and empty. I struggled with getting ideas for the castle. I saw so many really good reference pictures but didn't use any of them because I couldn't figure out how to recreate them. So I went for a more simply approach but I really enjoyed working on this. It was very fun and the trees glow in the dark. I wish I would have been able to create a better window with a glass pane but the frame was pretty good.
