 Surface Model Day 2 Process This week we were tasked to unfold and get our models ready for the laser cutter. As seen in my last weeks model it's pretty straight forward to unfold. I was able to unfold and prepare for the laser cutter in a short amount of time.  Here are the steps I took to unfold and prepare: It was pretty easy to unfold and to make 2D. I was struggling at first of how to unfold because I didn't have a base for my model. My friend suggested to add a base to the bottom and have it all connected by that. She's an absolute genius and solved my problem.  I wasn't sure if this is new but when you Make 2D it forms a new layer for the object you used  the command for. Maybe it's a Mac OS thing. I'm just getting use to using my laptop for Rhino and when I try to render my objects it crashes. I'm lucky to have my desktop so I can do all the rendering from there. Thank goodness for one-drive so I can access my files cross-platform quickly and easily...

Final Experimental

 Final Experiment   Our original idea we had was to print on fabric to create designs. We ended up changing our idea, I was in charge of drawing out our character on the CNC machine. A process we are quite familiar with already. I found this time a lot easier and was able to quickly set it up and hit start. Here are the images of what we have done.  Here is the version with working stages of putting together the final piece.  We decided to add more detail by using a 3D pen!!!! Wow it looks so good!!! Final with the added pieces and 3D pen
