 Mushroom Creation

    I decided to use an old sketch that I've been recently working on. I suppose you could call it a doodle page of cute objects. I was at first going to do it all but I decided as my first time working in grasshopper it was best I took it easier and worked on one of the mushrooms I drew. I decide to use the one mushroom at the bottom. 

                



    I was not able to attend the class where the fill pattern was talked about and demonstrated. Usually from the community notes and videos I find I can figure out generally what it is I am suppose to accomplish. In this case I have no idea what I am suppose to do. I have my work done in Rhino and will figure out how to do the fill pattern soon. Here is my sketch, Rhino file and Grasshopper work. I'm sure there is a better way to be working in grasshopper but I am just starting out. Work in process. By the end of the semester I'm sure I'll be very confident and comfortable with working in grasshopper. 



The fill pattern added. Was a lot easier than I expected it to be. I was shown how to do it and immediately I had an ah ha moment. I understand it now.

Paper Craft Hello Kitty    This is the entire post of my paper craft project. In my planning I was very confident in my model in Rhino. However when I printed it out my printer was being funny. As show in the picture below. It was printing landscape on portrait mode. I had no idea why it was doing this. No matter what I tried same results. The final of the dogggggggg

      The final renders of my super awesome dog!!!     A few notes that I have to add about Keyshot. Since it's a new software I really struggled figuring it out. It probably took 2 1/2 hours of messing around with different settings to figure out what the heck I needed to do to even begin to figure out how to use it. I can tell how powerful the program is but I literally don't have the mental energy to be able to figure out all the ins and outs of keyshot. Usually I don't struggle figuring out a new software but this time was quite a bit different and I was surprised. Only thing I couldn't figure out is how to do custom lighting. It made no sense when I tried. So I'm hoping he goes over it in class so I can be more proficient at using keyshot.

Castle Assignment

Castle Assignment     WELCOME BACK!!! It's been a hot minute but excited to be back and to create some awesome things.  I really didn't have anything that inspired me to build my castle. It was more as I worked I came up with new ideas to add to the project. An example was the fountain. Without it the castle looks very bare and empty. I struggled with getting ideas for the castle. I saw so many really good reference pictures but didn't use any of them because I couldn't figure out how to recreate them. So I went for a more simply approach but I really enjoyed working on this. It was very fun and the trees glow in the dark. I wish I would have been able to create a better window with a glass pane but the frame was pretty good.
